The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frédéric Bazille have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Portrait De Paul Verlaine À L'Âge De Vingt-Trois Ans was auctioned for USD 610,000.00 (€ 554,848.10).
