Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session, which included the work Fragment Du Portrait D'Edmond Maitre by Frédéric Bazille. The price achieved of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 100,960.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frédéric Bazille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait De Paul Verlaine À L'Âge De Vingt-Trois Ans in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 610,000.00 (€ 554,848.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fragment Du Portrait D'Edmond Maitre von Frédéric Bazille zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 86.500,00 (€ 100.960,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frédéric Bazille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait De Paul Verlaine À L'Âge De Vingt-Trois Ans im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 610.000,00 (€ 554.848,10).
