Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work Untitled (Bast) by Fred Wilson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 35,280.00 (€ 28,847.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bat, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Bast) von Fred Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 35.280,00 (€ 28.847,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bat beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55) versteigert wurde.
