Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sem Título by Frans Krajcberg was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,058.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Krajcberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre - 1967, which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 181,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sem Título von Frans Krajcberg kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.058,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Frans Krajcberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1967 beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 181.500,00 versteigert wurde.
