In May 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Two pink Prince-de-Bulgarie roses by Frans Mortelmans. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,250.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Mortelmans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pink roses in a basket, which sold at auction in November 2009 for EUR 32,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two pink Prince-de-Bulgarie roses von Frans Mortelmans zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.250,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frans Mortelmans mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pink roses in a basket beobachtet, die im November 2009 für EUR 32.200,00 versteigert wurde.
