Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Stil Life With Roses In A Basket by Frans Mortelmans. The price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frans Mortelmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pink roses in a basket in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 32,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stil Life With Roses In A Basket von Frans Mortelmans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Mortelmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pink roses in a basket im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 32.200,00.
