This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Frank Bowling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
