In November 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Dos Volúmenes by Francisco Narváez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,881.66), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Narváez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 267,750.00 (€ 206,151.83).
