In April 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century EuropeanArt, which included the work Purple Hortensia in a vase by Floris Verster. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 31,200.00 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Floris Verster; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl sold at auction in April 2009 with the realized price of EUR 42,750.00.

Im April 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt durch, in der auch die Arbeit Purple Hortensia in a vase von Floris Verster zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 31.200,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Floris Verster; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl im April 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 42.750,00.
