Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Poppies In A Ginger Jar by Floris Verster. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,660.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Floris Verster - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl, which sold at auction in April 2009 for EUR 42,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppies In A Ginger Jar von Floris Verster zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.660,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Floris Verster mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl beobachtet, die im April 2009 für EUR 42.750,00 versteigert wurde.
