This artwork by Floris Verster achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2019. In the European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art auction, the work Daffodils in a ginger jar sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,069.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Floris Verster; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl sold at auction in April 2009 with the realized price of EUR 42,750.00.

In der Auktion European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit Daffodils in a ginger jar für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.069,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Floris Verster; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl im April 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 42.750,00.
