In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Surroundings of Bergen by Floris Verster. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floris Verster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl in April 2009 with an auction result of EUR 42,750.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Surroundings of Bergen von Floris Verster zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Floris Verster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch A Still Life With Marigold And Delphinium In A Bowl im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.750,00.
