Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Micky, a red setter in a landscape by Florence Jay was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,575.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Florence Jay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gone to ground, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,269.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Micky, a red setter in a landscape von Florence Jay kam im November 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.575,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Florence Jay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gone to ground beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.269,84) versteigert wurde.
