Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Misty II by Florence Jay for GBP 360.00 (€ 529.76). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Florence Jay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gone to ground in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,269.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Misty II von Florence Jay für GBP 360,00 (€ 529,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Florence Jay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gone to ground im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.269,84).
