Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ali Underwater by Flip Schulke. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,710.00 (€ 10,164.18), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Flip Schulke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ali Underwater von Flip Schulke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 10.164,18) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Flip Schulke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05).
