Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ali Underwater by Flip Schulke. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,780.00 (€ 16,824.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Flip Schulke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ali Underwater von Flip Schulke zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.780,00 (€ 16.824,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Flip Schulke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) versteigert wurde.
