Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cassius Clay at 5th Street Gym, Miami Beach by Flip Schulke was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,584.00 (€ 3,239.92), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Flip Schulke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cassius Clay at 5th Street Gym, Miami Beach von Flip Schulke wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.584,00 (€ 3.239,92) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Flip Schulke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05).
