The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,566.29), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Flip Schulke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ali Swimming Pool Jump (eyes open) von Flip Schulke wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.566,29) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Flip Schulke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05).
