Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ali Swimming Pool Jump (eyes closed) by Flip Schulke. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,174.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Flip Schulke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ali Swimming Pool Jump (eyes closed) von Flip Schulke zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 7.174,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Flip Schulke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05).
