Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Firenze Lai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Bended World sold for HKD 478,800.00 (€ 57,389.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Firenze Lai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weight in May last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 598,356.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Firenze Lai erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Bended World für HKD 478.800,00 (€ 57.389,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Firenze Lai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weight im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 598.356,16).
