Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Firenze Lai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work The Colleagues sold for HKD 3,024,000.00 (€ 334,932.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Firenze Lai; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Weight sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 598,356.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Firenze Lai erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit The Colleagues für HKD 3.024.000,00 (€ 334.932,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Firenze Lai; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Weight im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 598.356,16).
