This artwork by Firenze Lai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Weight sold for HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 598,356.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. This high result makes Weight the most expensive artwork by Firenze Lai that we have observed at auctions so far.
