The work Pequeña Presa 4 by Fernando Zóbel was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 134,630.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Fernando Zóbel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Retiro in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 859,500.00.

Die Arbeit Pequeña Presa 4 von Fernando Zóbel wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 134.630,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Retiro im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 859.500,00.
