The work La Piedra Del Caballo II by Fernando Zóbel was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 335,154.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando Zóbel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Retiro, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 859,500.00.

Die Arbeit La Piedra Del Caballo II von Fernando Zóbel wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 335.154,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Retiro beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 859.500,00 versteigert wurde.
