Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Encounters, which included the work Fernando Zóbel | Untitled by Fernando Zóbel. It changed hands for a price of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 44,022.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 260,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Zóbel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Retiro in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 859,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Discoveries | Encounters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fernando Zóbel | Untitled von Fernando Zóbel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 44.022,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 380.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Retiro im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 859.500,00.
