Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marina by Fernando Zóbel was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 181,191.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fernando Zóbel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Retiro in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 859,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marina von Fernando Zóbel wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 181.191,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Retiro im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 859.500,00.
