Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Estudio en vertical y ocre (Study in vertical and ochre) by Fernando Zóbel. The price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Zóbel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Retiro in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 859,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Estudio en vertical y ocre (Study in vertical and ochre) von Fernando Zóbel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Retiro im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 859.500,00.
