Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Barca by Fernando Canovas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2007. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,709.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fernando Canovas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.709,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
