The work La Vierge by Fernando Canovas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,809.55) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando Canovas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).

Die Arbeit La Vierge von Fernando Canovas kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.809,55) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando Canovas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80) versteigert wurde.
