Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fernando Canovas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. In the Latin America: Modern Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 50,000.00 (€ 47,339.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fernando Canovas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fernando Canovas erzielte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 50.000,00 (€ 47.339,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fernando Canovas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80).
