This artwork by Ferdinand Schirren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work The balcony sold for EUR 5,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand Schirren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Femme devant la glace, which sold at auction in October this year for EUR 10,710.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Schirren erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit The balcony für EUR 5.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Schirren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Femme devant la glace beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für EUR 10.710,00 versteigert wurde.
