It achieved a price of USD 100,800.00 (€ 83,065.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Bol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,189,000.00 (€ 7,356,259.16).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a man von Ferdinand Bol wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Master Paintings Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 83.065,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Bol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.189.000,00 (€ 7.356.259,16).
