In the Master Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work A Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Pearl Jewelry, Possibly Johanna De Geer sold for USD 212,500.00 (€ 191,562.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Bol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,189,000.00 (€ 7,356,259.16).
