Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Facing Right, In Front Of A Red Curtain, With A Landscape Beyond by Ferdinand Bol. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,877.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Bol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,189,000.00 (€ 7,356,259.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Facing Right, In Front Of A Red Curtain, With A Landscape Beyond von Ferdinand Bol zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.877,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Bol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.189.000,00 (€ 7.356.259,16).
