This artwork by Ferdinand Bol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Portrait of a lady at a casement sold for GBP 1,198,500.00 (€ 1,405,489.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Bol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,189,000.00 (€ 7,356,259.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Bol erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a lady at a casement für GBP 1.198.500,00 (€ 1.405.489,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Bol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.189.000,00 (€ 7.356.259,16).
