In February 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La Chanson Du Chérubin by Félicien Rops. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 32,034.41), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Félicien Rops have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Belgian Le Calvair (Les Sataniques) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 227,542.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Chanson Du Chérubin von Félicien Rops zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 32.034,41) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Félicien Rops auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Belgian Le Calvair (Les Sataniques) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 227.542,04).
