Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Annunciation (Bartsch 1) by Federico Barocci was sold in the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler auction at Christies in London in September 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,356.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Barocci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head of Saint John the Evangelist, an oil study for The Entombment of Christ in the church of Santa Croce, Senigallia in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,376,522.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Annunciation (Bartsch 1) von Federico Barocci wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head of Saint John the Evangelist, an oil study for The Entombment of Christ in the church of Santa Croce, Senigallia im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.762.500,00 (€ 1.376.522,96).
