Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Madonna And Child by Federico Barocci for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,406.88). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Barocci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head of Saint John the Evangelist, an oil study for The Entombment of Christ in the church of Santa Croce, Senigallia in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,376,522.96).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head of Saint John the Evangelist, an oil study for The Entombment of Christ in the church of Santa Croce, Senigallia im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.762.500,00 (€ 1.376.522,96).
