Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fan Ho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2019. In the Photographs auction, the work Fisherman's Return, 1957 sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,134.92) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fan Ho; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Approaching Shadow, 1954 sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,340.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fan Ho erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Fisherman's Return, 1957 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.134,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fan Ho; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Approaching Shadow, 1954 im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.340,73).
