Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Sail by Fan Ho was sold in the Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 9,433.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Ho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Approaching Shadow, 1954 in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,340.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Sail von Fan Ho wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 9.433,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Ho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Approaching Shadow, 1954 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.340,73).
