Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited, which included the work Back Alley by Fan Ho. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,861.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Ho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Approaching Shadow, 1954 in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,340.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited durch, in der auch die Arbeit Back Alley von Fan Ho zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.861,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Ho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Approaching Shadow, 1954 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.340,73).
