Sold at the upper estimate price
This work without title by Faile was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,146.20), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Faile - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York City 02, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,793.22).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Faile kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.146,20) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Faile mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New York City 02 beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.793,22) versteigert wurde.
