Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Self-Portrait by Evan Penny. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,595.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Evan Penny have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work L. Faux: Black & White was auctioned for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,187.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Evan Penny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.595,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Evan Penny konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit L. Faux: Black & White für USD 145.000,00 (€ 93.187,66) versteigert.
