The work Big Boop by Eva Hesse was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction) auction at Christies in London in February 2013. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,423.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eva Hesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No title in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,980,000.00 (€ 3,569,826.89).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Big Boop von Eva Hesse wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction) bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.423,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eva Hesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No title im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.980.000,00 (€ 3.569.826,89).
