Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Erol Akyavas could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Turkishuntitled changed hands for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,011.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erol Akyavas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 99,650.00 (€ 114,677.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Erol Akyavas konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wechselte die Arbeit Turkishuntitled für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.011,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Erol Akyavas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 99.650,00 (€ 114.677,66) versteigert wurde.
