Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Erol Akyavas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2009. In the Contemporary Art Turkish auction, the work The Kiss sold for GBP 70,850.00 (€ 76,401.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Erol Akyavas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in April 2010 with the realized price of GBP 99,650.00 (€ 114,677.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Erol Akyavas erzielte im März 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish wurde die Arbeit The Kiss für GBP 70.850,00 (€ 76.401,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Erol Akyavas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 99.650,00 (€ 114.677,66).
