Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Erol Akyavas could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art / Turkish auction, the work Anilar I (Memories I) changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 48,629.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erol Akyavas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 99,650.00 (€ 114,677.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Erol Akyavas konnte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art / Turkish wechselte die Arbeit Anilar I (Memories I) für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 48.629,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Erol Akyavas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 99.650,00 (€ 114.677,66) versteigert wurde.
