Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oluler (The Dead) by Erol Akyavas was sold in the Contemporary Art/ Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,154.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erol Akyavas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 99,650.00 (€ 114,677.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oluler (The Dead) von Erol Akyavas wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.154,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erol Akyavas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 99.650,00 (€ 114.677,66).
