Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Way to Karbala by Erol Akyavas was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 122,500.00 (€ 96,593.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Erol Akyavas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2010 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 99,650.00 (€ 114,677.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On the Way to Karbala von Erol Akyavas kam im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 96.593,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Erol Akyavas konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2010 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 99.650,00 (€ 114.677,66) versteigert.
