Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Succisa Virecit (Pruned, it grow again) by Erik Parker for GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,309.84). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Time in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,654,000.00 (€ 433,808.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Succisa Virecit (Pruned, it grow again) von Erik Parker für GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.309,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Time im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.654.000,00 (€ 433.808,22).
